CHILDRENS PLANTING WORKSHOP

Something For The Children
The children’s planting workshop is a fantastic area where the young and old alike can enjoy a well earned break. This activity is free of charge and offers children the chance to get down and dirty under the watchful eye of our experts. They can learn how to nurture their plants and given the chance to understand exactly what it .
involves to look after and grow plants, shrubs and flowers
With just a seed, a pot, some soil and water (and imagination!) children will love to get their little hands dirty and take pride in taking their little pot and lovingly planted seed home with them to watch it grow.
It’s never too early to start children having an interest in gardening and no better time than following your visit to the Gardening Weekend. With the School holidays just around the corner why not start your children off with a Sensory Garden.
A sensory garden is not only beautiful to look at, but will tantalise their senses too! These plants offer a great way to catch children's imagination and get them interested in gardening.
This area is open from 10am-1pm & 2pm - 4pm
Young children must be accompanied at all times.
